Timeline and Bio

1968 - 1985: In the beginning....

Jeff Miller began his love affair with music and art at an early age. Extensive family travels and experiences exposed him to many different sources of inspiration. The outdoors, music and travel stood out as far back as he can remember. Growing up in Ct, Jeff's family used to go on many car trips to vacation spots. Jeff recalls, "I vividly remember being in the backseat of the family station wagon and grooving to that Johnny Cash 8 track my dad always played. Ring of Fire is the first song I remember hearing, and one of the first memories in life". All the imagery and energy that came out of that music into a child's mind, still lives in him today.

1985 to 2000: aka, where it all went wrong....

Jeff Discovers Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. Old Jeff dies, new Jeff is born. The next 15 years are spent chasing the impossible dream, playing in and working for bands, putting on shows, traveling near and far, vending fine goods, and seeing 10 lifetimes of music. These days, it's Widespread Panic's music that lights his fire.

2000 to Present: It's come to this!

As a rabid music fan and after years of working with bands and in the music industry, Jeff has melded his love for music and art, into what is a seemingly endless run of art and posters. Since 2001, Jeff's posters have been used to promote shows nationwide. His art and logos are used to brand the look and feel for dozens of popular acts, as well as selling goods bearing his images. The Art:

Inspired by 1960's psychedelic poster pioneers such as David Singer and Stanley Mouse. Jeff creates works of art that are accessible to music fans. Strikingly familiar, yet new and fresh, Jeff uses a mixed media approach. He combines both found images and hand drawn elements (often by his wife kristina) mixed together in a witch's pot, otherwise known as Photoshop. Jeff likens using computers as an art medium, to "stepping into a mystical world where anything is possible. Where all your dreams can come true". Just like any medium, you start with just a blank canvas and an idea.
